The next Mrs. Maine America workshop will be held on Sunday, September 18th, from 11am-1pm at Maine Isshinryu Karate Academy in Manchester, Maine. This workshop will cover walking and interviewing.

This workshop is open only to those who have officially entered the pageant.
Anyone interested in competing and hasn't paid their deposit yet can do so at the workshop.

Mrs. Sanford 2012 Kristen Spearin had the honor of throwing out the 1st pitch at the 16th Annual Sanford Firefighters charity softball game held August 19th, 2011. There were several alumni from the Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and New England Patriots playing.

Kristen was a judge for the annual Miss Acton Fair Pageant. Alyssa Gordon was crowned Miss Teen Acton Fair 2011.

Kristen participated in the Acton Fair Parade, along with Miss Teen Acton Fair 2011 and Miss Jr. Acton Fair.

Nearly 200 people attended the event and got to meet Mrs. Maine-America, Maine's Outstanding Teen, Snow White, Dora the Explorer, Cinderella, and Belle!

The Lipgloss Forlives Spooky 5k was held on Halloween morning at Wilbur's Chocolate Factory in Freeport. Money raised from this event went to fuel assistance for those in the community in need.

Noah's Walk

Mrs. Maine America Christine Blake and her family volunteered at the 1st Annual Noah's Walk Candlelight Vigil on October 15th at Biddeford Pool.
Noah's Walk was created for families who have lost infants by miscarriage, SIDS, or stillbirth. The walk was held the next morning and Mrs. Saco 2011 Jennifer Profenno volunteered with registrations.

North American Wife Carrying Championship

The 11th Annual North American Wife Carrying Championship was held at Sunday River Ski Resort on October 9, 2010. 50 couples from all over the USA competed and our very own Mrs. Maine America 2010 Christine Blake and her husband were among them. They finished an impressive 14th place out of the 50 with a time of 1 minute 20 seconds!

Local titleholders Mrs. Saco 2011 Jennifer Profenno, Mrs. Windham 2011 Lisa Valentine, and Mrs. Biddeford 2011 Kerry Berry volunteered with registrations to help this wonderful cause.

Last night was an amazing night for Maine at the Mrs. America Pageant. For the first time since the 70's, Maine placed in the Top 12 Semi Finals.

Christine competed in Swimsuit and Evening Gown. The judges loved her!

The Top 12 were: Texas, MAINE, Minnesota, Arkansas, Colorado, Maryland, Missouri, Wyoming, Florida, Tennessee, Connecticut, and Illinois

The Top 6 were: Connecticut, Illinois, Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, and Maryland

Mrs. Maine-America 2010 Dr. Christine Blake was a guest at the Maine Jr. Olympics, held at Bowdion College on June 26th. Dr. Blake handed out awards to all the athletes, who were from all over New England and New York State. Later that evening, Dr. Blake was the opening speaker, addressing the athletes and their families about the importance of healthy living. She was honored to introduce 1968 Gold Medal Olympian Dick Fosbury, who also address the athletes. He is best known for revolutionizing the high jump, dubbed the Fosbury Flop.
